WOW SERVICE STARTS BACK Wednesday, April 24th. Dinner is at 5:45 pm and worship with Holy Communion begins at 6:30 pm.
DROP-IN BABY SHOWER FOR CRAIG & VICTORIA – Join us Sunday, April 28 from 2-4 pm in the Parish Life Center as we help them welcome their first child into the world. The entire congregation is invited – male & female.
HOMECOMING! Sunday, May 5th is the day! We’re planning a huge celebration complete with a covered dish dinner in the Parish Life Center after the 11:00 am service. LUTHERAN MEN has invited the entire congregation to join them Monday, May 6th at 6:30 pm in the Parish Life Center. Pastor Bill will be sharing pictures & stories from his recent trip to the Holy Land and Jerry Richey will be cooking his World Famous Catfish Stew! It’s sure to be an evening to remember. RELAY FOR LIFE is Friday, May 17th from 6 pm to midnight at Lexington High School. Join us as we walk to Give Cancer the Boot! We will have our Burger Bags available (burger, chips, cookie & a drink for $5 – what a deal! All money goes to Relay.) We are also selling luminaries for $10 each. Harvest Fest/Stewardship Sunday – Sponsored jointly each October by the Stewardship and Evangelism Committees, the meal is a traditional fall meal with plenty of fresh vegetables. Come join us as we celebrate God’s gifts to us and learn about how we can be better stewards with our gifts to God.
Mother/Daughter/Friend Tea is sponsored by Women of the NALC for all ladies and girls in our congregation and their guests and is normally held in Spring every two years.
Shrove Tuesday is the day before Lent begins and features a traditional pancake supper and lots of Mardi Gras-themed fun.
Golden Age Luncheon honors our “Golden Agers” who have reached the age of 70 or higher. The entire congregation gathers in the Parish Life Center for a fellowship luncheon on this day. The event is sponsored by Women of the NALC and is held on the second Sunday in September after the 11 am service.
Soup, Sandwich and Salad Supper is held to chase away the winter blahs! The Worship & Music Committee sponsors this event for the entire congregation in the Parish Life Center each January or February. The committee cooks up lots of homemade soups and everyone else brings sandwiches, salads or desserts. Entertainment is provided. Donations support the Summer Music Camp.
Heritage Celebration Sunday is held on the first Sunday in May each year. This is a special time for current and former members to worship together. The service is followed by an old-fashioned picnic in the Parish Life Center with everyone bringing their favorite dishes to share.
