Women of the NALC
“As a community of women created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society, and the world.”
St. Peter’s offers three circles for women:
- The Lydia Circle meets on the 3rd Tuesday at 7:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall.
- The Anna Circle meets on the 4th Tuesday at 7:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall.
- The Dorcas Circle meets on the 2nd Tuesday at 3:00 pm in the Conference Room.
Women’s Ministry Planning Team
You are invited to be a part of the activities planned by this team. One of the purposes of our team is to get together to study the Word of God, so we plan various Bible studies several times during the year. These are held on Monday nights at 6:30 pm and Tuesday mornings at 9:30 am. Meeting locations vary. We also plan a couple of book clubs during the year and then join together for fellowship to discuss the book. Our annual women’s retreat is usually held in January. We travel offsite to study, pray and fellowship for the weekend. This team usually meets once a month on the second Thursday and is led by Darlene Lavisky and Karen Gobbi.
Loving Group (Senior Adults)
If you are retired, you are invited to join the Loving Group. This group of lively senior adults gathers in the Fellowship Hall on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 9 am to assemble the church newsletter, share lunch, devotions, and a program of fun or learning. The group also goes on a number of day trips and outings throughout the year. This group is led by Bobbi Buff and Donna White.
Lutheran Men in Mission (All men are invited)
The Lutheran Men in Mission of St. Peter’s gather in the Fellowship Hall on the first Monday of each month at 7 pm for a meal and fellowship. The group invites a special speaker each month to present an informative program. They enjoy service projects to aid the congregation and the community and are currently raising funds to build a second new Scout Building to house the church’s scouting programs.
Contact the church office at 803-359-2470 for information on getting involved. Scouts meet on Sunday afternoons in the Scout Hut.
Singles & Friends
This group gathers on the 3rd Thursday of every month for lunch at an area restaurant. Contact the church office at 803-359-2470 for more information.
