Sunday Church School
St. Peter’s offers Sunday Church School classes for all ages from infants through adults. All K-12 Sunday School classes are now using the Living the Good News curriculum.
Four adult classes offer a variety of topics pertinent to Christians in the modern world… along with a fresh pot of coffee and plenty of fellowship every Sunday morning. Sunday Church School begins at 10:00 am.
Adult Bible Study classes are held each Wednesday at 10 am in the Fellowship Hall. Topical Adult Bible Studies are also held during the year.
Buster’s Bible Study
This class is for couples in their mid-20’s to early 40’s. They meet in the homes of members for dinner and fellowship at 6 pm each third Sunday followed by an hour of Bible study at 7 pm.
Vacation Bible School
This is a special summer opportunity for Christian learning and fellowship and fun for all ages from infants through adults. Vacation Bible School is held during evenings for one week during the summer.
First Communion Classes
First Communion Classes prepare youth in second grade for the reception of their first communion. These classes are held in the spring. Older youth who have not already completed the classes should also attend.
Confirmation Classes are for youth in grades 7 and 8 and serve to prepare them for adult membership in the congregation. Youth in these classes study the Ten Commandments, Lord’s Prayer, Apostles’ Creed, Holy Baptism, Holy Communion, worship, Lutheran history and doctrine, and membership responsibilities. These classes normally meet monthly on the second Saturday of the month from 9 am until noon during the school year, September-May. They do not meet during December.
